A family with history: The Laziers
This new development was a long time coming, as it was originally imagined by Bob Lazier, a prominent Vail Valley developer and pioneer who was instrumental in helping create the world-class town and destination. Lazier passed away in April 2020, and his sons, Buddy and Jaques, have had the opportunity to carry on his legacy by breathing life into this development and bringing their father’s dream to market.
A look at some of the projects Bob Lazier helped bring to life over the years…
1960’s
1962 – The Cornice
Bob Lazier begins his development career in Vail.
1963 – Wedel Inn
Bob’s first hotel project is brought forth to serve the fledgling Vail Mountain.
1964 – Wall Street
The first iteration of Vail Village’s classic side street is built.
1967 – The Tivoli
An iconic Vail institution opens its doors.
1970’s
1972 – Lionshead Arcade
Bob helps establish Vail’s new base area in Lionshead.
1973 – Lift House Lodge
The face of Lionshead is further developed with a development that would go on to neighbor The Legacy.
1976 – Sun Vail
The north-side condominium complex breaks ground, helping establish the Red Sandstone neighborhood.
1980
1980 – The Tivoli

2000’s
2004 – The New Tivoli Lodge
The iconic lodge is reborn in its new Vail Village location.
2021 – Legacy At Vail Square
A decades-long legacy is honored with Lionshead’s premier new residence.
